Before crossing the border into Canada, you will reach Warroad, Minnesota, also known as "Hockey-Town USA". The home of the Warroad Lakers amateur hockey team, there's lots to do here. A tour of the Christian Brothers Hockey Stick Factory is both enjoyable and educational. The Gardens Arena is full of hockey memorabilia. For those interested in the industrial side of things, Marvin Windows offers a nice tour of their plant just across the highway.

Try the fantastic fishing on Lake of the Woods or a round of golf at Warroad Estates Golf Course. An on-site marina offers docking for boats and an RV court is nearby.

Wilderness enthusiasts will enjoy visiting Hayes Lake State Park located 31 miles southwest of Warroad on the edge of Beltrami Island State Forest. The magnificent stands of red and white pine bordering the lake, soaring bald eagles and good camp grounds can't be beat.

If gaming or theatre is your choice, try your luck at the Seven Clans Casino or take in a play at the Warroad Summer Theatre. Warroad is rich in Native American history. Explore the 2.5 mile Ka-Beck-A-Nung Trail for a historic walk around town.

After crossing the border to Canada, check out the action at Buffalo Point International Resort, on Lake of the Woods. You can enjoy great fishing, swimming or a round of golf at the newly opened 18-hole Lake of the Sandhills Golf Course. A variety of accommodations are available to meet all interests. Be sure to checkout the Native Cultural Centre, full service marina and restaurant, all operated by Buffalo Point First Nation.
